Water Bottle Pontoon Boat

This 100% upcycled water bottle pontoon boat stays afloat with 308 liters of empty water bottles!

According to the Archimedes Principle, the buoyant force on an object submerged in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid that is displaced by that object. In other words, 308 liters of air displaces 308 kilograms of water which therefore can safely keep 340 pounds buoyant on the boat! This boat was featured at the Green Project as a part of their 2019 Artcycle salvaged materials creative reuse exhibit.
